Jewel Tones
Fans of color can rejoice because the “anything but white” color trend isn’t going anywhere! Expect to see everything from jewel-tone colors such as ruby and sapphire to rich-saturated hues, clear and vivid palettes to earthy shades such as cypress and saffron – all of which will create a visually stimulating home.
Neutral Walls + Colorful Artwork
Some say if you truly love color, you should paint your walls white! With that in mind, there’s no better way to let your bold, colorful artwork pop against a backdrop of neutral walls in taupe, gray, and warm whites. If neutral is just too bland, opt for a darker color like Ultimate Gray – one of Pantone’s 2021 Colors of the year.
Shades of Happy
As a contrast to the dark year that was 2020, we’re seeing “happy” colors emerging as a big trend. Expect to see more clear colors and brighter neutrals like this happy yet calming blue in the picture below.
A Nod to Nature
As a lovely nod to nature, we’re gravitating towards warm, rich colors that convey a sense of coziness, comfort, and safety. Bring the outside in with rich chocolate brown, moss green, and deep blues.
Sunny Hues
Goodbye gray! Hello sunshine! By far one of the hottest color trends of 2021 is yellow, especially soft tones used as a neutral, an accent to pretty blues, or ochre and mustard block prints paired with earthy tones. One of our favorite colors is Illuminating, another of Pantone’s 2021 Colors of the Year.
